What is Talbina ?
Talbina is a porridge made from barley flour, formed by adding milk and honey to the dried barley powder. Barley is crushed and cooked in milk and then honey is added to it for sweetness; this is called Talbina

Recipe of Talbina
INGREDIENTS
- 250 ml cup milk
- 2 tbsp. talbina / Barley
- 1 tsp honey
- 1-2 dates
INSTRUCTIONS
- Talbina [with milk/water& honey]
- Add 2- 3 tablespoon oh barley in 250ml of milk/water. Heat for 10-15minute till the milk/water boils while stirring the porridge with a spoon continuously. Pour the hot porridge in a bowl & finally add honey as per your taste, your talbina is ready.

Ayesha (R.A) narrates that when somebody from her relatives died, she ordered Talbina porridge to be cooked and served to all.
