The Pakistan Cricket Board launched the league (PSL – Pakistan Super league) on September 9, 2015, with five teams. Now, there are total six teams ( Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators ) representing six cities of Pakistan. The league operates as an unified company, with each club being owned and governed by investors, rather than an association of separately owned teams. The Eighth (8th) season of PSL will be start from 13 February to 19 March 2023.

PSL 2023 Venues
PSL 2023 season 8, matches will be played in Multan, Peshawar, Lahore, and Karachi, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board. The locations in 2022 additionally included Lahore and Karachi. Later, it was determined that Peshawar’s Arbab Niaz Stadium was unfit to host any of the competition’s games. Later, the Bugti Stadium in Quetta was included on the list of PSL venues.
